RED DOOR CHURCH
A church seeking to transform the East of Pretoria by the power of the Gospel.
Why We Exist
Red Door exists to glorify God by making faithful disciples who are committed to seeing the Redemptive, Restorative and Renewing work of the Gospel in people’s lives and in their communities.
We are distinctly
Mission Minded:
Christians have the great calling of making disciples of all nations at all times. This creates an intentionality of how we view our work-, home- and social-life. Discipleship is much more than sharing our faith, it is understanding how to engage with all the relationships in our lives. (Matt. 28: 16-20)
Community Cultivating:
God adds every believer to the Church Family. The Gospel therefore has a community cultivating affect whereby it restores relationships not only between God and man, but also between people, especially those of different social and cultural backgrounds. (Acts 2: 46-47)
City Loving:
God cares for the oppressed and marginalised. To love the people of the city means to care about the social challenges faced by the city. Gospel transformation should lead us to be engaged with social transformation as well. (1 Pet. 2: 11-17)
GIVing
God grows His church in many different ways. One of the ways He chooses to do this is through the generous giving of His people, as we read in 2 Corinthians 9:6-9:
“… whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”” (ESV)

The Impact of Jesus' Ascension on Christians today
Ascension day can often be one of those days in the Christian calendar that we easily forget and fail to take note of because it doesn’t get as much attention when compared to other Christian holidays like Easter and Christmas.
Reflections on International Women's Day
Today on international women’s day we want to celebrate the women in our midst and around the world. It’s common knowledge through studies and personal accounts that women have been marginalized and pushed to the fringes of society, not having the same access to resources or economic opportunities as their male counterparts and as a result have less ‘say’ in a world where finances mean power and authority.
Why we give
Financial support to any religious institution has become a contentious issue because of abuse and mismanagement. This has put the onus on Churches to ensure that they are above reproach and fully transparent when it comes to their finances.
Why we plant churches
The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for (1) the numerical growth of the body of Christ in a city and (2) the continual corporate renewal and revival of the existing churches in a city.
Staying the Course
It goes without saying that 2020 has been the year that has turned everything on its head, especially when it comes to maintaining and sustaining churches during a time when you weren’t allowed to physically meet together.
